Palaruvi waterfalls is well connected by bus from punalur , which is well connected with different places in kollam , pathanamthitta and trivandrum .
You can reach here by getting in to bus to thenmala from punalur side and can get down at the main road stop which is at a walking distance to the ticket counter/parking area .
If you have come by your own vehicle you have to park your vehicles at the area provided near to the ticket counter and hop on to a vehicle (mini bus) provided by the authorities to reach the waterfalls which is situated at a distance of around 4km from the parking space . after getting down from the bus you can walk up to the bottom of the falls . steps are also provided to reach a watch tower which is at around half the height of the falls and can have a better look of the falls . for safety precautions now a days no one is allowed to have bath in the falls .
the last service of the bus is at 4 pm to the falls(the ticket counter will also close by then ) and the return will be around 5 pm
